Blue 2.0: Completed!!!

I think I finally finished everything and I am really glad that I tried everything!! Thanks so much to the Blue 2.0 planners and I hope to keep learning about these technologies and more!! : )

Blue 2.0: MySpace

I finally got back to MySpace. I am still not a fan though I expect it would grow on me if I spent more time with it. I nailed down my security to friends or at least I think I did, but I friended Beth, Sarah and Stacey. I joined two UK groups and explored the various options. I uploaded a photo of a Colorado wildflower instead of myself and I can no longer what else I did. However.... I am still a big fb fan. For the social networking exercise I have tried out lots more new fb things and beefed up my LinkedIn presence a bit but I prefer not to spend more time on MySpace....

Blue 2.0: Podcasting

OMG! This was the most intensive assignment and I am still not sure I did it correctly. I believe I did the following:
* Listened to the podcasting tutorials
* Downloaded Audacity
* Downloaded Lame
* Downloaded SmartFTP
* Planned, recorded and edited my podcast about the AIC website
* Saved the program
* Exported the program to MP3 file
* Listened to it via Windows Media Player
* Listened to some tutorials again to understand the encoding part - still did not understand how to publish my podcast

* Then set up Internet Archive acct, accessed Our Media, downloaded SpinExpress & QuickTime
* Finally logged on to Internet Archive and published the AIC Podcast

Blue 2.0: YouTube

I searched the YouTube site for "libraries" as assigned. I saw lots of movies about Second Life and some tours of physical libraries, but I was a bit disappointed not to find more LI videos. My all-time favorite library video on YouTube is "March of the Librarians". I think we should look at YouTube as a way for our student workers to help us market our library services to undergrads....
